South East Europe Summit 2019 was jointly organized by Penkov, Markov & Partners and The Legal 500 – the most respected organization for evaluating and ranking law firms and lawyers worldwide. The event is the first of its kind not only for Bulgaria but also for the whole region of Southeast Europe, and brought together over 120 leading figures of the international legal scene.

The conference was opened by David Goulthorpe, Managing Director of The Legal 500, Vladimir Penkov, Founder, Chairman and Senior partner at Penkov, Markov & Partners, and the top banker Levon Hampartzoumian.

South East Europe Summit 2019 outlined the challenges that today's business faces, as well as the important role of the legal departments in each company. Among the leading topics discussed by Bulgarian and international experts during the event are data protection and cybersecurity, anti-money laundering measures, digitization of services, mergers and acquisitions, management and leadership.
