Team Building 2026

Once again this year, Penkov, Markov & Partners held its now traditional team-building event at the magnificent five-star Mount Athos Resort in Ierissos. For the fourth year running, our colleagues from IBS Accounting also took part, with their accounting services complementing the range of services offered by the law firm. We congratulate Iskra Stefanova on the strong sense of unity she has achieved within her team.

For the second consecutive year, the event was held without external coaches or a specially prepared programme setting out specific tasks.

This was precisely what our Chairman and Senior Partner, Vladimir Penkov, explained at the opening of the event. Nevertheless, he made no secret of the fact that he had certain expectations regarding the results, while leaving it to each participant to decide how best to take part in the event. This was precisely why, on this occasion, only colleagues from the head office participated.

Above all, there was a relaxed atmosphere, which even the cold, windy weather could not disrupt.

This provided an excellent opportunity to put PM&P’s recently introduced internal rules into practice. Building on our lawyers’ excellent professional expertise, these rules place particular focus on mutual assistance and support across departments and among colleagues throughout the office.

This objective was achieved beyond all doubt, whereby the wonderful atmosphere, particularly during the dinners at the hotel’s taverna, was further supported by a variety of activities organized on the participants’ own initiative.

The interest in our partner Asen Apostolov’s suggestion to play volleyball was impressive, with more than 20 players taking part over the two days, not counting the spectators. Three teams were formed, complete with substitutes, and it did not matter that not everyone displayed a high level of skill: there was spirit, enthusiasm and enjoyment. This also helped the two new colleagues we had invited to integrate more easily into the team, and we wish them success. The personal participation of our two Managing Partners, Nikolay Cvetanov and Boris Lazarov, also played a significant role in this.

And the photographs taken by our specially engaged photographer, Vladimir Penkov, who set aside his other duties, beautifully illustrate what has been described above.

A group of colleagues also enjoyed a variety of intellectual games well into the early hours, without any sign of fatigue.

There was plenty of laughter and emotions, which we are confident generated positive energy and readiness to proactively tackle the challenges of our work.
