Penkov, Markov & Partners, represented by its Chairman - Vladimir Penkov, the Managing Partner – Nikolay Cvetanov and CEO – Iskra Stefanova, participated in the Vienna Economic Forum (VEF) Sofia Meeting 2024, held on 21-22 April at Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia and Boyana Residence.

The event drew the attendance of over 150 state representatives from the West Balkan countries, including the distinguished patron of the event, Mr. Albin Kurti - the Prime Minister of Kosovo, alongside various ministers and other esteemed government officials.

Penkov, Markov & Partners was trusted by Amb. Dr. Elena Kirtcheva – Secretary General of VEF to prepare the “Bulgarian lion” statuette as an award, which was personally crafted by the famous Bulgarian sculptor Andrey Moskov, with special marking of the 20th anniversary of VEF.

During the event, PM&P’s Chairman Vladimir Penkov had the privilege of presenting the “Bulgarian lion” award to several notable individuals, including Mr. Albin Kurti, Amb. Dr. Emix Brix (President of VEF), Mrs. Mila Nenova (Executive Director of InvestBulgaria Agency), Mag. Heinz Messinger (Vice President of VEF), Mr. Ognyan Donev (Executive Director of Sopharma AD), Mr. Boykov Vassilev (journalist, Presenter, and Producer of Panorama) and others.

We feel even prouder and honoured as Amb. Dr. Elena Kirtcheva granted Vladimir Penkov the VEF certificate and plaque award “for the great contribution to the regional economic cooperation and the common understanding in the region – “From the Adriatic to the Black Sea”.

For sure, PM&P shall continue to make all efforts to further support VEF for the economic collaboration and development the countries in SEE-Region.
