A round-table bringing together the state and businesses to discuss tax amendments
On 7 April 2004 a Round Table was held on matters concerning amendments in taxation. Attorney-at-Law Mr. Vladimir Penkov also took part in the Forum in his capacity of Deputy Chair of the BCCI
More than 20 claims made by business branch associations for amendments in the three fundamental pieces of legislation in the field of taxation and above all the requested introduction of a flat-rate taxation of profits and income for individuals were discussed with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Stamen Tassev and the Chairperson of the Budget Commission in Parliament Ms. Nina Radeva.
Representatives of the business insisted on a new philosophy in tax policy aimed at taxing only real profits and incentivizing investments and job creation.
